Realizo atividade física enquanto opero uma cadeira de rodas: uma revisão sistemática de pacientes com AVC

Resumo

Introdução: O AVC é um dos principais contribuintes para as taxas de mortalidade em vários países, resultando em desafios duradouros para as pessoas que sobreviveram à doença na execução de tarefas rotineiras. O exercício de posição da cadeira foi implementado como uma intervenção distinta, claramente diferenciada de um programa de reabilitação convalescente. O objetivo deste estudo é coletar dados empíricos sobre a movimentação de pacientes com AVC em cadeiras de rodas utilizadas por profissionais de saúde, dada a atual falta de clareza nas práticas clínicas. Método: Os estudos foram obtidos no PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, EBSCO, Web of Science e CNKI. Restaram apenas ensaios clínicos randomizados para avaliar exercícios adequados para pacientes com AVC que usam cadeiras de rodas, e sem restrições de dados do estudo ou idioma. Resultado: Especificamente, seis estudos utilizaram intervenções como estabilidade do tronco, sentar e ficar em pé de forma independente, postura sentada e controle do tronco, cadeira de macaco e sistema de faixa, posição da cadeira de praia e exercício de ficar em pé. Conclusão: Os resultados positivos do estudo ilustram que o exercício em cadeira de rodas pode ter um efeito benéfico e melhorar as capacidades das pessoas que sofreram um acidente vascular cerebral. Os usuários de cadeiras de rodas empregam muitas estratégias para melhorar suas habilidades funcionais.
