Tipos de actividad física y hábitos alimenticios entre los miembros de la iglesia

Resumen

Introducción: La actividad física y los hábitos alimenticios adecuados están directamente relacionados y contribuyen positivamente a la prevención de enfermedades por sedentarismo, así como al tratamiento de afecciones como la obesidad, el asma bronquial, la diabetes y los trastornos de la motilidad.

Objetivo: Identificar y analizar los comportamientos de esta población en relación con los tipos de actividad física practicados y los hábitos alimenticios. Participaron 85 personas de entre 26 y 90 años (media: 54,69 ± 16,33). De estos participantes, 48 ​​(56,5 %) eran hombres y 37 (43,5 %) mujeres.

Métodos: Se informó a los participantes sobre el estudio y se les explicó cómo completar los cuestionarios, solicitándoles su consentimiento informado. Se utilizó un cuestionario titulado «Rutinas diarias, hábitos de ocio, actividad física y salud de los miembros de la iglesia». Este cuestionario se elaboró ​​a partir de otros cuestionarios validados para evaluar las rutinas diarias, los hábitos alimenticios, la actividad física y el estado de salud. Resultados: Los participantes mostraron comportamientos positivos, tanto en términos de actividad física (frecuencia y duración) como de hábitos alimenticios saludables, demostrando interés por la cantidad y el tipo de alimentos que consumen.

Discusión: Según los resultados, ver la televisión y usar las redes sociales fueron las actividades semanales más frecuentes entre los miembros de la iglesia participantes en este estudio.

Conclusión: Dada su contexto social y su misión, los miembros de la iglesia evaluados mostraron comportamientos que favorecen un nivel adecuado de actividad física y hábitos alimenticios saludables, contribuyendo así a un estilo de vida saludable.
