Perfilar a força do homem em surfistas jovens: implicações para a prevenção de lesões e a melhoria do rendimento

Resumo

Objectivo: esta investigação tem como objectivo estabelecer o perfil da força de rotação interna e externa do homem num grupo de jovens atletas de surf. Métodos: mediu a força isométrica de rotação interna e externa do homem utilizando um dinamómetro portátil em 41 (19 crianças e 22 crianças) atletas jovens de surf (13,3 ± 2,1 anos, 49,3 ± 9,8 kg e 157 ,4 ± 9,5cm). Resultados: independentemente do sexo, não se encontram diferenças significativas entre a força de rotação interna e externa do homem. No entanto, a força de rotação interna foi bilateralmente superior à força de rotação externa. Ao comparar crianças e raparigas, só encontrará diferenças estadísticamente significativas para a força de rotação interna do braço izquierdo quando esta é ajustada pela massa corporal. As crianças mostram mais força do que as crianças em todas as situações. Não se observem diferenças consoante a postura do surfista. Conclusões: os dados desta investigação fornecem informações valiosas para os empreendedores e preparadores físicos que trabalham com surfistas jovens, permitindo uma compreensão mais profunda do perfil específico da força do homem, para um desenvolvimento mais eficaz dos programas de treino.
