Integrar a atividade física na educação física: uma abordagem dinâmica para a mitigação de desastres sísmicos nas escolas

Resumo

Introdução: A educação física é essencial na promoção da atividade física, que melhora a saúde dos alunos e atua como estratégia criativa para a mitigação de desastres, como durante os sismos. A inclusão de exercícios físicos na educação sobre preparação para catástrofes nas escolas pode melhorar as capacidades motoras, promover capacidades de reacção rápida e aumentar a preparação dos alunos para gerir eficazmente situações de emergência.
Objectivo: Realizar simulações de redução do risco de desastres sísmicos através de actividades físicas para estudantes através de educação física em escolas situadas em regiões sensíveis a desastres.
Metodologia: O estudo foi realizado em três escolas localizadas em Gresik, Lumajang e Malang, envolvendo 446 alunos em atividades de preparação para catástrofes. Foi aplicado um desenho utilizando grupos de pré-teste e pós-teste. A execução foi realizada entre julho e agosto de 2024, em três fases: (1) avaliação do risco sísmico através da aplicação InaRisk Personal, que indicou um nível de perigo moderado; (2) validação de 10 exercícios de prevenção de catástrofes elaborados com o contributo de 90 instrutores de PESH em diferentes regiões, alcançando uma pontuação de viabilidade de 82%; e (3) integração dos simulados nos cursos PESH, realizando pesquisas antes e depois das aulas. A análise dos dados foi realizada no SPSS.
Resultados: a ferramenta foi determinada como válida e fiável para avaliações e simulações de mitigação de sismos nas aulas de PESH. No entanto, os resultados do teste t (Sig. = 0,022) revelaram uma diferença significativa entre as pontuações do pré e pós-teste, implicando um impacto das simulações.
Conclusões: As simulações focadas na mitigação de desastres através da educação física podem influenciar e melhorar enormemente a preparação em escolas suscetíveis a desastres.
