Treinta minutos que salvan vidas: impacto de una autoformación exprés en la calidad de la RCP en adolescentes

Resumen

Introducción: Este estudio analizó el efecto de una intervención breve de autoformación con feedback en tiempo real sobre la calidad de la reanimación cardiopulmonar (RCP) en adolescentes de un centro educativo de Salamanca.

Metodología: El diseño consistió en un test inicial de RCP, seguido de una autoformación de 30 minutos utilizando simuladores con retroalimentación, y finalmente otro test de RCP. Se evaluó la calidad general de la RCP, la calidad de las compresiones y de las ventilaciones, así como parámetros específicos como profundidad, ritmo y descompresión torácica.

Resultados: Los resultados mostraron mejoras estadísticamente significativas tras la autoformación en la calidad general de la RCP, la calidad de las compresiones y de las ventilaciones. También mejoraron otros indicadores clave, como el número de ventilaciones correctas.

Conclusiones: Se concluye que el entrenamiento breve con maniquí y feedback en tiempo real aumenta la calidad de la RCP en estudiantes jóvenes, validando su implementación temprana y continua en el entorno escolar desde los 12 años.
