This article examines the crucial role of Physical Education and Sports professionals in creating learning opportunities, highlighting the significant influence of the educator on the performance of students and athletes. Analyzes the lack of consensus on the meaning of "quality of teaching" and how this ambiguity affects educational policy decisions. The article emphasizes the importance of integrating Physical Education (PE) and Sport into the 2030 Global Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs), highlighting their potential to contribute to its Goals. Finally, identifies the need for an ethical and moral approach to educational training and practice, particularly in PE and sports, where a unified professional culture currently does not exist. The article proposes a strategy to improve the quality of teaching PE, sports, and physical activity based on fundamental pedagogical principles: effective classroom management and organization, appropriate use of learning time, appropriate pedagogical feedback, and a positive and task-oriented emotional climate. It also highlights the importance of these pedagogical principles being subordinated to a holistic and multisectoral educational approach to promote active and healthy lifestyles involving all educational community members. Finally, it concludes that education should be a conscious, organized, and coherent activity and that pedagogical effectiveness depends on the educator's ability to adapt to the specific needs of students and the educational context. Education, as a human activity, has the potential to form critical and engaged citizens, and PE and sports professionals must take an active role in this process.
