For the past 15 years a worldwide study has been carried out to determine trends in physical activities for health and fitness, in the case of Mexico, this is its third edition. Objective: to know the trends of fitness in Mexico for 2022, to compare the results with the Mexican survey of the previous year and with the Worldwide Survey of Fitness Trends for 2022. Method: quantitative, nonexperimental, descriptive and comparative longitudinal study. The study population are fitness instructors based in Mexico, the sample is non-probabilistic (n= 918). An adaptation of the Worldwide Survey of Fitness Trends to the Mexican context was used to collect the data. Results: The main fitness trends for Mexico in 2022 are exercise programs for weight loss, functional training, personalized training, strength training and new activities/ adaptation of post-pandemic services by COVID-19. 12 of the main Mexican trends also appear in the top 20 of the global survey and 15 repeats in the national survey. Conclusions: a greater concern of the population for health prevention can be observed, specifically about body weight and the maintenance of physical fitness, functionality and strength, as well as implementing new post-pandemic activities of COVID-19.
