Abstract: Expression, understood as a situation in which body, communication and creativity converge, is not an isolated phenomenon which takes place only in exceptional circumstances. In fact, it is present in every situation of our daily lives. The area of water sports is no exception. Precisely, responding to these fundamental premises and addressing the educational field, we show in this paper a new line of research in the area of children’s water activities. Its purpose is to influence as much as possible on the full comprehensive development of the subject by adapting teaching methodologies in the pool at every pupil´s specific age. In this way, we intend to increase the motivation in the learning process. The current study, based on the teaching methodology called Modelo Narrativo Lúdico (Playful Narrative Approach), used a sample of 168 subjects aged 3-6. Different results derived from this investigation show the benefits of a systematic application of this teaching methodology based on water motor tales compared to other forms of traditional teaching.
