Abstract: Numerous teachers believe that the fact of practicing physical activities contributes, by itself, to the values education of our students. Practicing sports (specially those which appear in mass media) involves «counter values» which reproduce social models which should be changed from education. There is a need to consider and plan the values we want to develop in our pupils. Our Physical Education sessions do not ensure a correct transmission of values by the mere fact of the sportive practice.
