Competências de pensamento crítico e independência de aprendizagem: preditores do desempenho académico em Educação Física

Resumo

Introdução: A capacidade académica é um fator determinante para o sucesso dos alunos, especialmente no desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico. Os alunos com bom desempenho académico tendem a ser mais competentes na formulação de ideias e na resolução lógica de problemas. Na disciplina de Educação Física, estas competências cognitivas e afetivas são essenciais para o sucesso escolar.

Objectivo: O objectivo deste estudo é analisar a relação entre as competências de pensamento crítico, a independência da aprendizagem e o desempenho académico em Educação Física.

Metodologia: Este estudo é correlacional. A população foi constituída por 128 alunos do 11º ano (72 rapazes e 56 raparigas, com idades compreendidas entre os 14 e os 15 anos) da Escola Secundária Pleret 1. Foram utilizados questionários do tipo Likert para medir o pensamento crítico e a independência da aprendizagem. O desempenho académico foi avaliado através das notas em Educação Física. Foi utilizado o software SPSS versão 21 com um nível de significância de p < 0,05.

Discussão: Os resultados mostram que tanto o pensamento crítico (p = 0,000) como a independência da aprendizagem (p = 0,001) influenciam significativamente o desempenho académico em Educação Física. Ambas as variáveis ​​explicam 45,60% da variância.

Conclusões: O pensamento crítico e a independência da aprendizagem são fatores importantes para o desempenho académico em Educação Física. Recomenda-se que sejam integrados no planeamento pedagógico para incentivar a participação ativa e o desenvolvimento de competências cognitivas responsáveis.
