Efeito do treinamento aeróbio nos indicadores biológicos e de saúde mental em pacientes pós-COVID-19

Resumo

Introdução. Um dos aspectos de saúde mais afetados pelos pacientes infectados pela COVID-19 foi a saúde mental. Organizações líderes em todo o mundo têm recomendado a prática de atividade física como um dos principais tratamentos. Mirar. Analisar o efeito de um programa de exercícios aeróbicos de curta duração sobre indicadores biológicos, saúde mental e qualidade de vida em pacientes pós-COVID-19. Métodos. Os sintomas de depressão, ansiedade, estresse, qualidade de vida, sinais vitais, aptidão física e composição corporal foram medidos em 10 pacientes pós-COVID-19. Foi aplicado um programa de exercícios físicos aeróbicos com intensidade de 40-60%, cinco dias por semana, 50 minutos por sessão, durante quatro semanas. Resultados. Foi encontrada diminuição dos sintomas de depressão em 30%, estresse em 58% e ansiedade em 44% durante o período de intervenção (p<0,001). Em relação à percepção de qualidade de vida, a área psicológica foi a que apresentou efeito positivo durante a intervenção (p=0,035). Foi encontrado aumento na força das pernas (p=0,018) e diminuição da gordura corporal (p=0,005) durante a intervenção. Conclusão. Um programa de exercícios físicos de curta duração apresenta benefícios nos indicadores de saúde mental em pacientes pós-COVID-19.
