Mapeando a tendência de pesquisa na Web of Science sobre pequenos jogos no futebol: estudo bibliométrico entre 2010-2023

Mirar. Examinar a produção científica dos Small-Sided Games no futebol no período entre 1º de janeiro de 2010 e 19 de fevereiro de 2024, por meio da consideração de estudo bibliométrico na base de dados Web Of Science. Metodologia. Para seleção dos documentos foi criada uma matriz de análise no Microsoft Excel baseada em 15 categorias. Foi realizada uma revisão com base nas recomendações PRISMA da base de dados (Web of Science). O programa VOSviewer foi utilizado para criar mapas de coocorrência baseados nas palavras-chave, coautoria, país, afiliação institucional e periódicos. Resultados. Foram obtidos 568 documentos. Os resultados refletem que a maior produção é gerada em artigos de pesquisa (92,42%). Para o período de publicação estabelece-se um aumento sistemático a partir de 2018, constatando que 2021 foi o ano com maior produção com 84 documentos. Os autores que geraram maior produção são Clemente, F.M. (10,17%), Praça, G.M. (6,25%), Sampaio, J. e Gonçalves, B. (5,53%). Em relação à área do conhecimento, a que apresenta maior produção é a de Ciências do Esporte com 398 documentos (70,07%). O periódico que mais publicou documentos e que, por sua vez, recebe o maior número de citações (3.374) é o Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research (44 documentos e 2.141 citações). Os periódicos que apresentam maior número de citações são aqueles do quartil Q1. O Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo é a instituição que possui maior número de documentos (66). O idioma que predomina na produção científica é o inglês (93,66%). Conclusões. Os Jogos Reduzidos são uma fonte de interesse nas Ciências do Desporto e, especialmente, têm sido estudados com maior profundidade desde 2017, sendo Espanha e Portugal os países que geraram maior produção.
