Atividade física em estudantes e sua associação com atenção. Uma revisão sistemática

Apesar das recomendações para atividade física em crianças e adolescentes, na escola atual não é incomum o desenvolvimento de comportamentos sedentários que podem afetar a saúde. As evidências sugerem que a atividade física tem um efeito benéfico no desenvolvimento da atenção, porém, não há clareza sobre as características que a atividade física deve ter para otimizar a melhoria da atenção em escolares. Foi realizada busca de artigos em bases de dados publicados entre 2013 e 2023, e após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão e análise de seus resultados foram identificados 33 artigos. Os resultados sugerem que a prática de atividade física tem um efeito positivo na atenção, principalmente na atenção seletiva, sem que seja possível estabelecer as características em relação à frequência, tempo, intensidade ou tipo de exercício que produzem os melhores resultados, provavelmente isso é devido à heterogeneidade das intervenções e populações estudadas. Portanto, mais estudos experimentais são necessários para ajudar a identificar as características da atividade física que melhor contribuem para o desenvolvimento da atenção como indicador cognitivo.
