O futebol é um esporte muito competitivo e de alta intensidade, por isso requer boa resistência. O treino de resistência deve ser realizado de forma estruturada, sistemática e contínua e requer um modelo de treino variado e que não aborreça os jogadores. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo produzir um modelo de treinamento resistido baseado em jogos laterais reduzidos (SSG). O método de pesquisa utilizado é pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D). A amostra deste estudo foi de 105 jogadores de futebol sub-18 divididos em dois grupos: um teste de grupo pequeno e um teste de grupo grande. Os testes em pequenos grupos foram realizados no clube PSTS Tabing com uma amostra de 25 pessoas, e os testes em grandes grupos foram realizados no SSB Putra Wijaya, SSB Elang Nusantara, SSB Semen Padang e Padang United, cada um com uma amostra de 20 pessoas. As técnicas de coleta de dados nesta pesquisa foram por meio de observação e entrevista. Os instrumentos utilizados para coleta de dados foram uma lista de questões e um questionário em escala Likert. Esta pesquisa produziu um modelo de treinamento de resistência baseado em small side game (SSG) com 15 variações de exercício, e pode-se concluir que este modelo de treinamento é adequado para uso. Este modelo de treino é muito adequado para jovens jogadores de futebol, com características que se assemelham a jogos de futebol reais para que os jogadores fiquem motivados durante o treino.
