Explorando a relação entre o desenvolvimento motor e as características empreendedoras na infância

Resumo

Introdução: O desenvolvimento motor na criança é uma área em crescimento com vários estudos procurando compreender o seu processo, causas e efeitos. A área do empreendedorismo também tem registado um crescimento significativo. Objectivo: Verificar a relação entre o desenvolvimento motor infantil e as suas características empreendedoras. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo de caso exploratório que utiliza metodologias mistas. Participaram neste estudo 37 alunos do primeiro e terceiro ano. O Teste de Desenvolvimento Motor Grosso - 2 foi utilizado para determinar o desenvolvimento motor. Para avaliar as características empreendedoras, foram realizadas observações e gravações áudio em três contextos: brincadeira estruturada, recreio enriquecido e histórias. A observação baseou-se num guião construído conforme revisão de literatura. Resultados: Concluiu-se que as crianças com melhor desenvolvimento motor no score total de competências de controlo de objetos tendem a ser as do terceiro ano e as que apresentam menor propensão para o comportamento inverso de “Autoconfiança” e “Persistência/Resistência ao Insucesso”. . Além disso, as crianças com melhores pontuações nas competências de locomoção são também aquelas que, no contexto do recreio, apresentam maior tendência para apresentar comportamentos positivos de “Assunção de Riscos”, como considerar os riscos antes de agir ou não ter medo de falhar. Conclusões: As escolas devem incluir a educação para o empreendedorismo e o desenvolvimento motor nos seus currículos, para preparar os alunos não só para o emprego, mas também para serem proactivos, resolverem problemas e se adaptarem às mudanças.
