Criticidade da preparação e do equipamento nas atividades de caminhada e trekking: uma revisão sistemática

Resumo

As atividades ao ar livre, como caminhadas e trekking, requerem preparação e equipamento adequados. No entanto, muitos aventureiros subestimam a importância destes fatores, o que aumenta o risco e os eventos adversos. Este estudo tem como objetivo fornecer uma revisão abrangente da literatura existente sobre a preparação e os requisitos de equipamento para caminhadas e trekking e identificar os desafios predominantes durante estas atividades. A revisão considerou artigos com texto integral em inglês, listados no MEDLINE/PubMed ou Google Scholar, publicados entre janeiro de 2000 e junho de 2023. O método de pesquisa centra-se nos potenciais obstáculos durante a viagem e na preparação da equipa e nos riscos durante as caminhadas e trekking. Seguindo as diretrizes PRISMA 2021, foram considerados 14 artigos para revisão detalhada. Dois artigos investigaram especialistas em caminhadas, enquanto os outros estudos incluíram especialistas e principiantes. As seguintes medidas e equipamento preparatório foram identificados como cruciais: vestuário adequado, mapas, bússola, kit de primeiros socorros, comida e água extra, boa aptidão física e competências ao ar livre (por exemplo, orientação e competência médica). Os estudos revistos ​​apresentavam falhas metodológicas e eram suscetíveis de enviesamento. Esta revisão identifica os riscos comuns e as melhores práticas em relação à preparação e equipamento para caminhadas e trekking. Contribui para a segurança em aventuras ao ar livre, reduzindo potencialmente os riscos e a probabilidade de eventos adversos e enriquecendo as experiências ao ar livre.
