Melhorar o desempenho desportivo: o impacto do mel de Perhutani na função cognitiva e nos níveis de ácido láctico

Introdução: A função cognitiva e os níveis de ácido láctico são determinantes cruciais do desempenho atlético, pois afetam as capacidades físicas e mentais durante o treino e a competição.
Objectivo: Este estudo tem como objectivo avaliar os efeitos da administração do Mel Perhutani durante a Etapa de Preparação Especial (SPS) na função cognitiva e na redução do ácido láctico entre atletas do sexo masculino do Centro de Educação e Treino Estudantil (PPLP) da província de Riau, na Indonésia.
Metodologia: Os procedimentos do estudo foram realizados com 45 atletas do sexo masculino, que foram divididos em 2 grupos, nomeadamente controlo e suplementação com mel Perhutani. Além disso, a função cognitiva e os níveis de ácido láctico foram medidos em cada fase. Os dados obtidos foram analisados através de ANOVA (análise de variância) para a determinação da significância estatística, tendo sido estabelecido um nível de significância em p<0,05.
Resultados: Estes resultados sugeriram que a suplementação de mel Perhutani durante o treino SPS melhorou significativamente a função cognitiva e reduziu a acumulação de ácido láctico em atletas do sexo masculino. Os resultados do teste ANOVA mostraram que houve melhorias significativas na função cognitiva e reduções nos níveis de ácido láctico entre os atletas que receberam a intervenção.
Conclusões: Os estudos futuros são aconselhados a explorar a sustentabilidade a longo prazo dos benefícios relatados, controlando variáveis adicionais, como a dieta, os padrões de sono e outras formas de exercício, para isolar ainda mais os efeitos específicos do Mel e do SPS.
