Abuso psicológico, abuso físico e negligência: um estudo descritivo de práticas comuns entre atletas das seleções nacionais da Jordânia

Introdução: este estúdio examinou a prevalência de abuso psicológico, físico e negligência entre os atletas da equipa nacional de Hilean, destacando o seu impacto na alegria e segurança desportiva.
Objectivo: identificar diferenças na exposição ao abuso psicológico, físico e negligência de acordo com o género, idade, nível educativo e anos de prática.
Metodologia: foi realizado um estudo transversal descritivo através de uma consulta estruturada. Foram recolhidos dados de 278 jogadores da equipa nacional de ambos os géneros. Se calcularam taxas de prevalência e se realizaram análises estadísticas para determinar diferenças significativas segundo factos demográficos.
Resultados: 37,8% dos atletas experienciaram maus tratos psicológicos, 9,4% maus tratos físicos e 40,3% negligência. Os homens referiram maior abuso psicológico (p=0,026). A negligência foi mais comum nos atletas com menor nível educativo (p=0,000) e mais anos de prática (p=0,011). Não existem diferenças significativas entre maus tratos físicos ou negligência segundo o género ou o pai.
Discussão: os resultados coincidem com investigações anteriores que indicam uma maior prevalência de maus tratos psicológicos no desporto de competição. O nível educativo e os anos de prática foram factores chave na negligência.
Conclusões: é fundamental garantir um ambiente de treino seguro. As equipas nacionais devem implementar políticas e programas de apoio psicológico para reduzir os riscos de abuso e negligência, melhorando o bem-estar dos atletas.
