Eficácia de técnicas combinadas versus recuperação passiva em jogadores de squash competitivos: um estudo cruzado

Objectivo: Os efeitos de duas técnicas de recuperação, a recuperação combinada e a passiva, no desempenho de jogadores de squash competitivos foram examinados durante três dias de jogos simulados.
Metodologia: Onze jogadores de nível elite (idade: 15 ± 5 anos; altura: 172,80 ± 8 cm; massa corporal: 65,05 ± 11,46 kg) participaram num desenho cruzado. Os níveis de lactato sanguíneo, salto com contramovimento, esforço percebido e recuperação foram medidos antes, depois e 48 horas após cada partida. Foram realizados testes t de Student ou Wilcoxon e ANOVA de medidas repetidas ou Friedman + Wilcoxon para análises intra-semanais.
Resultados: Foram observadas diferenças nos níveis de lactato pré-jogo entre a primeira e a terceira semanas (t = -5,81; p < 0,01) e nos níveis de lactato pós-jogo (t = -2,42; p < 0,03). Não foram encontradas diferenças no salto com contramovimento pré-jogo (p < 0,50) ou pós-jogo (p < 0,15). Os parâmetros percetivos como o sono, o stress, a fadiga, as dores musculares e a perceção de esforço não apresentaram diferenças nas medidas pré-jogo (p < 0,14, p < 0,09, p < 0,74, p < 0,51, p < . 27) nem nas variáveis pós-jogo dor muscular e perceção de esforço (p < 0,39, p < 0,41).
Discussão: Uma simulação de um arranque de squash resultou numa fadiga moderada, com recuperação completa em 24 horas. As técnicas combinadas não proporcionaram benefícios cumulativos adicionais.
Conclusões: As técnicas combinadas não melhoraram nem prejudicaram o processo de recuperação e foram tão eficazes como a recuperação passiva.
