A eficácia do treino de velocidade, agilidade e rapidez versus treino intervalado de alta intensidade para melhorar a velocidade e agilidade em jogadores de badminton

Resumo

Introdução: O badminton, um desporto de raquete de ritmo acelerado, exige reações rápidas, golpes potentes e movimentos ágeis. Velocidade e agilidade são competências motoras essenciais neste desporto.
Objectivo: Este estudo compara os treinos HIIT e SAQ para determinar o seu impacto na velocidade e agilidade dos jogadores de badminton.
Metodologia: Trinta jogadores amadores de badminton participaram num estudo quase experimental, divididos em grupos HIIT, SAQ e controlo. Cada grupo recebeu 8 semanas de intervenção. Agilidade (teste de Illinois) e velocidade (corrida de 30 metros) foram medidas. O SPSS (v. 24) foi utilizado para as análises estatísticas: teste t emparelhado (pré-pós) e ANOVA unidirecional (entre grupos).
Resultados: Foram encontradas melhorias significativas na velocidade no SAQ (p = 0,012) e no HIIT (p = 0,000). Foram encontrados aumentos na agilidade em todos os grupos, mas apenas o HIIT foi estatisticamente significativo (p = 0,000). A maior melhoria da velocidade foi observada no SAQ (3,36%), enquanto a maior agilidade foi encontrada no HIIT (3,10%).
Discussão: O HIIT ativa os sistemas de energia aeróbica e anaeróbica, melhorando a potência e a velocidade ao atingir as fibras musculares de alta força. O treino SAQ foi concebido para aumentar a velocidade de mudança de direção, a agilidade e a velocidade de sprint.
Conclusões: Tanto o treino HIIT como o SAQ foram igualmente eficazes na melhoria da velocidade e agilidade em jogadores de badminton. Estes treinos podem ser utilizados como uma abordagem baseada em evidências para melhorar as capacidades dos jogadores de badminton para um desempenho ideal.
