Análise da competência motora em crianças peruanas de acordo com o ambiente natural, o nível socioeconómico, o IMC e o género

Introdução: As disparidades na competência motora (CM) só podem ser abordadas pelos professores de Educação Física (EF), investigadores e profissionais relacionados com esta área desde que sejam suficientemente conhecidas.
Objetivo: O estudo foi realizado com o objetivo de analisar o desenvolvimento da CC em crianças peruanas de acordo com o seu ambiente natural, nível socioeconómico, IMC para a idade e sexo.
Métodos: Participaram 341 crianças, às quais foi aplicado o TGMD-3, um questionário sócio-demográfico e sócio-económico, e foram medidas a massa corporal e a altura.
Resultados: O desenvolvimento da CC de acordo com o ambiente natural apresentou diferenças significativas; de acordo com o nível socioeconómico, não houve diferenças significativas; de acordo com o IMC para a idade, não houve diferenças significativas; e de acordo com o sexo, houve diferenças significativas em parte.
Discussão: Os resultados encontrados respondem à tendência global e ao contexto onde o estudo foi efectuado.
Conclusões: Em primeiro lugar, verificou-se que o MC é influenciado pelo ambiente natural, que é um fator que pode favorecer ou restringir a experiência e o momento da ação motora. Em segundo lugar, o MC não foi influenciado pelo estatuto socioeconómico, pelo que o estatuto socioeconómico nem sempre estabelece disparidades. Em terceiro lugar, o CM não foi influenciado pelo IMC para a idade, exceto nas capacidades de corrida, salto horizontal e lançamento abaixo da anca, pelo que será sempre importante ter um peso normal na infância. E, em quarto lugar, a CC foi parcialmente influenciada pelo género, uma vez que a tendência global era evidente, mas não na locomoção.
