O turismo e o desporto como instrumentos de resiliência: reconstrução de vidas e resolução da crise de identidade cultural nas comunidades desplazadas após o conflito no nordeste da Índia

Resumo

Introdução: As sociedades de posguerra no nordeste da Índia enfrentaram desafios de reabilitação económica, perda de identidade cultural e desintegração social. O turismo e o desporto contribuem de forma independente para a resiliência, mas o seu potencial combinado é pouco explorado.

Objectivo: Este estudo examina como a integração do turismo e do desporto melhora a resiliência e reconstrói a identidade cultural entre as comunidades desplazadas.

Metodologia: Uma abordagem de métodos mistos combinou técnicas qualitativas, entrevistas, grupos de foco e observações de campo com indicadores cuantitativos de mudança socioeconómica. O monumento intencional e de bola de neve foi conduzido por pessoas desplazadas, líderes comunitários e partes interessadas em distritos selecionados. Os dados são analisados ​​temáticamente e através de estatística descritiva.

Resultados: As iniciativas turísticas aumentaram as casas geradoras de turistas (24%-67%), os empregos sectoriais (18%-42%), a participação das mulheres (12%-39%) e a taxa de entrada (+28%). Os programas desportivos melhoraram as relações intergrupais (46%), fizeram renascer os jogos tradicionais (38%), melhoraram a participação dos jovens (52%) e reduziram os conflitos (21%). As intervenções integradas registaram pontuações elevadas de resiliência económica (8,0), cultural (7,9) e social (7,6).

Discussão: A integração do desporto demonstrou ser mais eficaz do que as medidas de um único sector para promover a estabilidade, a preservação cultural e a unidade social.

Conclusões: A combinação do turismo e do desporto apoia a recuperação sustentável da reconstrução posterior ao conflito para reforçar a segurança económica, a renovação cultural e a coesão comunitária. Os quadros políticos devem adoptar estratégias intersectoriais para reforçar a resiliência ao longo do caminho nas sociedades de posguerra.
