O impacto do treino com cones no tempo de reação e no desempenho em sprints de 30 metros em jovens velocistas.

Resumo

Introdução: O tempo de reação e a velocidade máxima são dois componentes fundamentais que influenciam o desempenho atlético, especialmente na corrida de 100 metros. No entanto, modelos de treino eficazes para aumentar o tempo de reação e a velocidade máxima ainda não foram totalmente explorados.

Objectivo: Este estudo tem como objectivo demonstrar o efeito do treino com o exercício de 5 cones do tipo "I of Pain" no tempo de reacção e na velocidade máxima de velocistas de 100 metros.

Metodologia: Participaram neste estudo um total de 16 jovens velocistas, com idades compreendidas entre os 15 e os 17 anos. Receberam uma intervenção de treino com o exercício de 5 cones do tipo "I of Pain" durante 6 semanas. A recolha de dados foi realizada através da medição da velocidade máxima através de um teste de corrida de 30 metros, enquanto o tempo de reação foi avaliado através do teste audiovisual de tempo de reação de corpo inteiro antes e depois da intervenção. Foi utilizado um teste t de amostras emparelhadas para verificar as diferenças nos dados dentro de cada grupo, enquanto que um teste t de amostras independentes foi utilizado para verificar as diferenças nos dados entre os grupos, com um nível de significância de 5%.

Resultados: Os resultados mostraram um aumento da velocidade de reação e uma melhoria do desempenho no teste de sprint de 30 metros antes e depois do período de 6 semanas de exercício (p ≤ 0,001). Além disso, observou-se um aumento da velocidade de reação e uma melhoria do desempenho no teste de sprint de 30 metros entre os grupos (p ≤ 0,05).

Conclusões: Estes achados demonstram que o exercício Pain 5 Cone Drill tem um impacto positivo no aumento da velocidade de reação e na melhoria do desempenho no teste de sprint de 30 metros. Por conseguinte, é um dos métodos de treino que deve ser considerado na preparação e implementação de um programa de treino para atletas de sprint de 100 metros.
