Aplicando o Protocolo de Mapeamento de Intervenção para promover o Transporte Ativo à Escola em alunos do ensino fundamental: a intervenção do ProATs

O ambiente escolar apresenta-se como um contexto ideal para intervenções comportamentais. Assim, as evidências mostram que as intervenções baseadas na escola impactam positivamente no Transporte Ativo para a Escola (ATS). No entanto, as intervenções comportamentais raramente são desenvolvidas de forma sistemática. O objetivo deste manuscrito é descrever o conteúdo e o processo de desenvolvimento da intervenção ProATS (Promoting Active Transportation to School). Para isso, um Protocolo de Mapeamento de Intervenção (IMP) é usado para o projeto, implementação e avaliação do ProATS. Esta intervenção visa aumentar a ATS em crianças de 10 a 12 anos é utilizada. O ProATS é baseado em uma revisão de literatura e é desenvolvido por uma equipe multidisciplinar. Há contribuições de especialistas (Grupo de Trabalho Local), representantes das escolas (Comitê de Planejamento) e um facilitador em cada escola (um membro da equipe de pesquisa). A intervenção do ProATs resulta nas seguintes duas componentes (i) percurso curricular, (ii) percurso não curricular. Paralelamente, é elaborado um guia, que inclui as estratégias e atividades para desenhar e implementar o projeto ProATs. Os resultados do estudo piloto parecem promissores, mostrando um aumento significativo de ATS (ou seja, a frequência de ATS). O IMP, visando mudanças comportamentais como ATS, é um processo complexo e demorado. Ainda assim, nos ajudou a realizar o planejamento e o desenvolvimento da intervenção do ProATs para torná-la viável, eficaz e sustentável. A explicação do processo seguida com o IMP permite a replicação da intervenção noutros contextos escolares.
