Tendências da pesquisa em terapia manual: uma revisão bibliométrica dos últimos 10 anos

Resumo

A terapia manual (MT) é um campo dinâmico que está progredindo rapidamente. A tendência atual incentiva um foco em maior especificidade na pesquisa. Esta é a primeira revisão bibliométrica que identifica tendências em MT nos últimos dez anos (até 2023). A base de dados Scopus foi utilizada para obtenção de registros bibliográficos. Biblioshiny (Bibliometrix), PowerBI, MS Excel e MS Access foram utilizados para visualizar e analisar os resultados. Um total de 1.208 estudos relevantes foram incluídos na análise. O número de publicações tem caráter crescente. Artigos com quatro autores são os mais comuns, enquanto apenas 68 estudos foram realizados por um único autor. Em 2021 foi registrado o maior número de publicações (n=178). A revista Bodywork and Movement Therapies é a que contém o maior número de publicações (75). Os Estados Unidos são o país mais prolífico em publicações (361 estudos) e total de citações (4.869). A Universidade Rey Juan Carlos da Espanha é a instituição mais produtiva e citada. Fernández-De-Las-Peñas C. é o autor mais produtivo e Mark D. Bishop é o autor mais citado. Os Estados Unidos, Austrália, Canadá e países europeus têm as colaborações mais frequentes. MT foi o tema de foco de pesquisa mais comum entre 2017 e 2019. Tópicos relacionados à terapia por exercícios, terapia musculoesquelética e fisioterapia têm sido foco de pesquisas no contexto da MT nos últimos anos. O presente estudo analisou as tendências relacionadas à pesquisa em MT através da aplicação de métodos bibliométricos e identificou os países, instituições e pesquisadores mais produtivos durante a última década. Essas descobertas têm como objetivo ajudar os pesquisadores a se orientarem melhor no campo de pesquisa e a especificar tendências para pesquisas futuras.
