A compressão pneumática intermitente de alta pressão aplicada imediatamente após o exercício físico reduz eficazmente a fadiga e melhora o desempenho: um estudo preliminar

Resumo

Introdução: A utilização da compressão pneumática intermitente (CPI) tem ganho popularidade no mundo do desporto como um dos métodos de recuperação adequados para melhorar o desempenho dos atletas e acelerar a recuperação. No entanto, os benefícios da CNI como método de recuperação são ainda muito limitados.
Objectivo: Este estudo tem como objectivo investigar melhor os efeitos do uso de PCI de alta pressão na recuperação da fadiga e no desempenho após exercício físico.
Metodologia: Catorze sujeitos foram divididos em dois grupos, cada um composto por sete participantes: o grupo de compressão pneumática intermitente (CPI), que recebeu a intervenção de CPI, e o grupo de recuperação passiva (RP), que não recebeu qualquer intervenção. Ambos os grupos realizaram treino pliométrico e os níveis de lactato sanguíneo, força explosiva das pernas e altura do salto vertical foram medidos antes e depois da recuperação. A análise descritiva, o teste t para amostras emparelhadas e o teste t para amostras independentes foram utilizados na análise dos dados.
Resultados: Os resultados mostraram diferenças significativas nos níveis de lactato sanguíneo (p=0,002) e na altura do salto vertical (p=0,006) entre o grupo de recuperação CNI e o grupo PR após recuperação. Embora tenha sido observado um aumento da potência explosiva das pernas após a recuperação, não foram encontradas diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre o grupo de recuperação CNI e o grupo PR (p=0,496).
Conclusão: A utilização da CIP de alta pressão após o exercício físico é significativamente mais eficaz do que a recuperação passiva em termos de redução dos níveis de lactato sanguíneo e melhoria da altura do salto vertical. Embora tenha havido um ligeiro aumento da potência explosiva das pernas, esta alteração não foi estatisticamente significativa; No entanto, ainda vale a pena mencionar.
