Relação entre a ingestão hídrica, a duração do treino e o gasto calórico em adultos fisicamente ativos

Resumo

Introdução: A atividade física é uma chave determinante para a saúde cardiometabólica, sendo o gasto calórico um indicador operacional essencial para a dose de treino em condições reais. Compreender os seus preditores permite interpretar melhor a relação entre os hábitos de exercício e o equilíbrio energético.

Objectivo: Avaliar o peso preditivo e a relação directa da ingestão hídrica e a duração da sessão sobre o gasto calórico em adultos fisicamente activos.

Metodologia: Foi aplicada uma abordagem quantitativa com desenho observacional transversal e âmbito analítico-correlacional em 973 adultos. As variáveis ​​são obtidas através de relógios inteligentes multimarca e anamnese digital, analisando os dados através da correlação de Pearson e da regressão linear múltipla.

Resultados: Foi identificada uma associação linear positiva muito forte entre a duração e o gasto calórico (r = 0,908; p < 0,001) e uma relação moderada com a ingestão hídrica (r = 0,357; p < 0,001). O modelo de regressão explicou 83,5% da variação total, destacando a duração como o preditor de maior magnitude (β = 0,877) face à hidratação (β = 0,108).

Discussão: Os hallazgos concordaram com estudos que sinalizaram o volume temporal como determinante central do gasto energético por mais de fatores nutricionais. O papel da hidratação foi alinhado com investigações que o local como um facilitador fisiológico de rendimento e não como um motor térmico direto.

Conclusões: A duração da sessão foi o principal preditor do gasto calórico, enquanto a hidratação funcionou como suporte para a continuidade do esforço. As estratégias de saúde pública devem priorizar a adesão temporal ao exercício para o controlo do equilíbrio energético.
