Pausas híbridas. Desempeño académico, fatiga mental y autorregulación emocional en estudiantes sedentarios universitarios y exdeportistas

Resumen

Introducción: Los exdeportistas que recién inician su etapa universitaria se encuentran en una transición profesional, que implica resiliencia y readaptación académica, por ello requieren intervenciones con estrategias relativamente simples que tengan aporte interdisciplinar de tipo físico, cognitivo y emocional en función de variables claves como las estudiadas.

Objetivo: Evaluar los efectos de pausas híbridas en la mejora del desempeño académico, la fatiga mental, y la autorregulación emocional en estudiantes sedentarios universitarios exdeportistas.

Metodología: Investigación cuasiexperimental con dos grupos independientes (n=35 cada uno), aplicando un programa de intervención al grupo experimental (5 meses) con pausas híbridas adaptadas a las necesidades de exdeportistas, mientras que el grupo control continuó con su programa tradicional de enseñanza-aprendizaje.

Resultados: El grupo experimental mostró reducción significativa de la fatiga mental (MFI-20; p =.001; r=.39) y mejoras relevantes en autorregulación emocional, incrementando la reevaluación cognitiva (p = .002) y reduciendo la supresión expresiva (p = .015). Además, se observó aumento en la atención sostenida (d2 Test; p = .001; r= .40) y una mejor percepción de recuperación psicofísica (TQR; p = .008). Aunque el desempeño académico mostró solo una tendencia favorable (p = .068), las comparaciones intergrupales reflejaron diferencias significativas en las variables cognitivas y emocionales a favor del grupo experimental, evidenciando el impacto positivo de las pausas híbridas en la eficiencia mental y emocional de los exdeportistas universitarios.

Conclusiones: Las pausas híbridas pueden ser una estrategia efectiva para estabilizar y mejorar el desempeño académico, cognitivo y emocional en exdeportistas sedentarios en su etapa universitaria.
