Exercício físico, hábitos alimentares e estresse: o que aconteceu com os universitários durante a pandemia?

Resumo

Durante a pandemia de COVID-19, o confinamento, as mudanças radicais no estilo de vida e as suspeitas de contágio favoreceram um aumento da vulnerabilidade ao stress. Com o objetivo de analisar a atividade física e a associação com o estado nutricional, hábitos nutricionais e vulnerabilidade ao estresse em estudantes universitários durante a pandemia de COVID-19, foi realizado um estudo quantitativo, não experimental, descritivo, comparativo e transversal. A amostra foi composta por 350 estudantes, 207 mulheres e 143 homens, que estudam nas Faculdades de Educação e Saúde, de uma universidade privada. Foram aplicados o teste IPAQ versão curta, o inquérito de hábitos alimentares e o teste de vulnerabilidade ao estresse. Os homens apresentam METs mais elevados que as mulheres (p<0,001). Pacientes obesos tipo I são menos vulneráveis ​​ao estresse do que pacientes com peso normal e com sobrepeso (p< 0,001). Altos níveis de atividade física apresentaram hábitos alimentares mais saudáveis ​​do que atividade física moderada ou baixa (p<0,001) e alta atividade física no confinamento apresentaram maior vulnerabilidade aos níveis de estresse (p<0,001). Os hábitos alimentares pouco saudáveis ​​foram menos vulneráveis ​​ao estresse do que os hábitos alimentares regulares ou saudáveis ​​(p<0,001). Concluindo, os estudantes universitários com níveis mais elevados de atividade física são mais vulneráveis ​​ao stress em contextos de confinamento, enquanto os estudantes universitários que apresentam inatividade física e estados nutricionais menos saudáveis, como a obesidade tipo I, têm menor probabilidade de serem vulneráveis. o mesmo contexto.
