Resumo

A segmentação tem se mostrado uma das melhores ferramentas para facilitar o alcance dos objetivos das entidades esportivas. O objetivo desta investigação foi analisar a influência nos gastos e na satisfação dos clientes num evento de golfe de elite com base em variáveis ​​de segmentação, como a residência (local vs. visitante) e o nível de handicap dos participantes (espectador vs. jogador-espectador). Além disso, esta investigação procurou estabelecer um modelo multivariado que permitisse prever o local de residência e o handicap com base na interação das variáveis ​​analisadas, com o intuito de estabelecer um padrão comportamental baseado nestas variáveis ​​para quem participa num torneio de golfe de elite. . Os resultados revelaram que os participantes com handicap de golfe apresentaram níveis mais elevados de satisfação e eram mais propensos a recomendar e gastar em eventos de golfe. Por outro lado, os espectadores sem deficiência e os participantes de fora de Madrid apresentaram maiores gastos económicos, o que indica a importância de satisfazer as suas necessidades específicas para alcançar resultados de impacto económico positivo. Os modelos de árvore de decisão forneceram informações sobre o comportamento dos participantes, identificando fatores que influenciam sua satisfação e probabilidade de comparecer novamente. Fatores como a intenção de frequentar no futuro, a satisfação com a variedade de opções na praça de alimentação e os gastos com alojamento e lembranças foram considerados preditores significativos do nível de residência e de deficiência. Em conclusão, esta investigação contribui para a compreensão do comportamento do cliente em eventos de golfe de elite, oferecendo implicações práticas para organizadores de eventos e gestores desportivos.
