Move4Future: implementação e efeitos de um programa piloto de exercício físico para crianças e jovens em risco provenientes de famílias com múltiplos problemas

Introdução e Objectivo: As famílias multiproblemáticas incluem vários factores de risco (por exemplo, saúde mental e problemas de peso). O exercício físico pode ser uma estratégia para prevenir, tratar e ultrapassar inúmeras doenças. Assim, este estudo teve como objetivo analisar os efeitos da implementação do programa piloto Mo-ve4Future, em crianças e adolescentes, nas seguintes variáveis: i) níveis de ansiedade, ii) composição corporal, iii) aptidão física, e iv) níveis de atividade física.
Metodologia: Dez participantes (10,61±2,40 anos) completaram um programa de exercício físico de 12 semanas com uma frequência semanal de uma sessão e foram avaliados no início e após a intervenção. Foram aplicadas a Escala Revisada de Ansiedade Manifesta para Crianças, a massa corporal, a altura, a prega cutânea tricipital, a prega cutânea da barriga da perna, a circunferência do braço relaxado, a circunferência da cintura, a circunferência da barriga da perna e a bateria de testes FITescola® (flexões, salto horizontal, agilidade, flexibilidade dos ombros e flexibilidade dos membros inferiores).
Resultados e Conclusões: Os principais resultados evidenciaram um menor traço de ansiedade, embora esta alteração não tenha sido estatisticamente significativa (z=-1,832, p=0,067), um aumento significativo da altura (z=-2,197, p=0,028), uma diminuição significativa do índice de massa corporal (z=-2,366, p=0,018) e da circunferência da cintura (z=-2,201, p=0,028). O programa piloto Move4Future mostra melhoria nos valores médios dos níveis de ansiedade, composição corporal e força física superior. Contudo, uma intervenção multicomponente, incluindo famílias e mais sessões por semana, pode ser importante para obter melhores resultados.
