Condições pedagógicas para a formação de um estilo de vida saudável entre os alunos: o exemplo dos desportos tradicionais na China

Introdução: Promover um estilo de vida saudável entre os alunos é uma prioridade fundamental na prática educativa moderna.
Objectivo: Este estudo procurou avaliar os efeitos dos desportos tradicionais — wushu, tai chi e qigong — no bem-estar físico, emocional e psicológico dos alunos do Instituto Técnico e Vocacional de Xinxiang, destacando os potenciais benefícios da incorporação destas actividades no currículo para aumentar a actividade física, aliviar o stress e melhorar o bem-estar geral.
Metodologia: A investigação utilizou uma abordagem de métodos mistos, integrando metodologias experimentais e qualitativas. Foi distribuído um questionário a 100 alunos (50 homens e 50 mulheres, com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 21 anos), divididos em dois grupos.
Resultados: 78% referiram melhoria na aptidão física, 47% menos stress e 81% mais bem-estar mental. A prática regular de wushu, tai chi e qigong melhorou a resistência (mais 420 m no teste de Cooper) e reduziu a frequência cardíaca em repouso. Sessenta e oito por cento estavam familiarizados com estes desportos e 83% reconheceram os seus benefícios. Os fatores sociais, como o apoio dos colegas, motivaram 35% a participar.
Discussão: Os resultados confirmam que os desportos convencionais melhoram significativamente a saúde física e psicológica, além de incentivarem níveis mais elevados de exercício físico.
Conclusões: A importância prática do estudo reside no potencial de integração dos desportos tradicionais nos currículos universitários, o que pode reduzir o stress dos estudantes, melhorar a saúde física e fomentar um maior interesse pela educação física.
