O turismo desportivo na região das Ilhas Seribu baseia-se em atividades ao ar livre para impulsionar a economia da comunidade através do conceito de economia azul

Resumo

Introdução: O turismo desportivo nas Ilhas Seribu consolidou-se como um setor promissor, combinando a beleza natural com atividades recreativas. No entanto, a sustentabilidade deste crescimento depende da compreensão tanto da satisfação dos visitantes como dos desafios de gestão.

Objectivo: Este estudo teve como objectivo analisar os factores que influenciam o atractivo e a satisfação com o turismo desportivo nas Ilhas Seribu, integrando as perspectivas dos gestores e visitantes para oferecer recomendações estratégicas para o desenvolvimento sustentável.

Metodologia: Foi aplicada uma abordagem sequencial explicativa de métodos mistos, começando pela recolha de dados quantitativos através de questionários online aplicados a 285 respondentes, seguida de entrevistas semiestruturadas com informantes-chave. A análise incluiu estatística descritiva, análise fatorial exploratória, regressão e análise temática para triangular os resultados.

Resultados: Foram identificados quatro factores principais: beleza natural e paisagem, infra-estruturas e serviços públicos, instalações desportivas e experiências de turismo desportivo. A análise de regressão confirmou que todos os fatores tiveram efeitos positivos e significativos na satisfação dos visitantes, sendo a beleza natural o preditor mais forte (β = 0,42). Os dados qualitativos destacaram as limitações de infraestrutura e as questões de segurança como desafios persistentes. Discussão: Os resultados foram consistentes com estudos anteriores sobre turismo que enfatizaram o equilíbrio entre atrações naturais, infraestruturas adequadas e diversidade de opções de lazer. A inclusão de perspetivas locais enriqueceu a compreensão da sustentabilidade, que muitas vezes está ausente nos estudos quantitativos.

Conclusões: Conclui-se que o turismo de aventura sustentável nas Ilhas Seribu só pode ser alcançado através da preservação do capital natural, melhorias nas infraestruturas, padrões de segurança reforçados, diversificação de atividades e participação ativa da comunidade.
