Resumo

Introdução: A dor musculoesquelética crónica impacta significativamente a qualidade de vida e a produtividade física das mulheres que trabalham na agricultura em zonas rurais. Este estudo examinou a eficácia de uma abordagem híbrida de reabilitação, especificamente desenvolvida para este grupo demográfico em ambientes com recursos limitados.   Objectivo: A investigação teve como objectivo avaliar um programa híbrido de reabilitação que combinava actividades de campo e teleexercício para o controlo da dor e a melhoria da força muscular funcional em mulheres rurais iraquianas.   Metodologia: Foi realizado um estudo de coorte quase-experimental pré-teste/pós-teste com sessenta e seis mulheres do distrito de Hamdaniya, com uma vasta experiência em trabalho agrícola. A intervenção de doze semanas integrou exercícios domiciliários realizados através de aplicações de vídeo para telemóvel com sessões de campo quinzenais, que incluíam jogos culturalmente familiares. As avaliações físicas foram realizadas com recurso a um dinamómetro manual e à Escala Numérica de Dor-11.   Resultados: Os dados indicaram que a maioria das participantes apresentava dor intensa na região lombar e nas extremidades no início do estudo. Após a intervenção, observou-se uma melhoria significativa da força muscular em todas as regiões avaliadas, e os níveis de dor diminuíram de intensos para moderados ou ligeiros, com vários casos a apresentarem resolução completa.   Discussão: Estes resultados são consistentes com a literatura anterior, que sugere que os programas de exercício supervisionado mitigam eficazmente a dor ocupacional crónica. Os resultados contrastaram favoravelmente com os modelos clínicos tradicionais, demonstrando que a actividade física adaptada culturalmente aumentou a adesão das participantes e a participação social nas comunidades rurais.   Conclusões: O programa de reabilitação híbrido reduziu com sucesso a dor crónica e melhorou a capacidade funcional das mulheres rurais iraquianas. Este modelo representa uma estratégia terapêutica viável e de baixo custo para melhorar a saúde musculoesquelética em contextos com recursos limitados.
