Explorando o impacto do género e da participação desportiva na adaptabilidade de carreira dos estudantes de Educação Física

Introdução: A adaptabilidade à carreira desempenha um papel crucial na preparação dos estudantes para o mercado de trabalho, mas poucos estudos exploraram a forma como o género e o estatuto atlético influenciam a adaptabilidade à carreira, particularmente nos cursos de Educação Física.
Objectivo: Este estudo investiga a relação entre género, estatuto atlético e adaptabilidade de carreira entre estudantes do curso de Educação Física da Universidade PGRI Palembang.
Metodologia: Participaram no estudo um total de 687 estudantes (460 homens, 227 mulheres), divididos em atletas (232) e não atletas (455). A Escala de Adaptabilidade à Carreira (CAAS), constituída por 24 itens, foi utilizada para avaliar quatro dimensões: Preocupação, Controlo, Curiosidade e Confiança. Os dados foram analisados utilizando o SPSS e o teste t de amostras independentes.
Resultados: Não foram encontradas diferenças significativas nos escores de adaptabilidade à carreira com base no género (homens vs. mulheres) ou no estatuto atlético (atletas vs. não atletas). Ambos os grupos apresentaram pontuações semelhantes em todas as quatro dimensões.
Discussão: Estes resultados sugerem que a adaptabilidade à carreira é mais influenciada pelas características individuais do que pelo género ou nível de atividade física. Portanto, os programas de desenvolvimento de carreira devem focar-se em competências universais aplicáveis a todos os estudantes.
Conclusões: O estudo indica que a adaptabilidade à carreira é uma competência universal que não é significativamente afetada pelo género ou pela participação em atividades físicas, destacando a importância do desenvolvimento de competências-chave como o autoconhecimento e a definição de objetivos em todos os estudantes.
