Sustentabilidade sociocultural do uso de DIU não hormonal e vida ativa das mulheres em Pekanbaru, Indonésia

Introdução: O planeamento familiar é uma componente essencial da saúde e do bem-estar das mulheres, especialmente em contextos urbanos onde os factores socioculturais influenciam o uso de contraceptivos. Os dispositivos intrauterinos (DIUs) não hormonais são métodos reversíveis e de longa duração; no entanto, a sua utilização continua limitada na cidade de Pekanbaru, Indonésia.
Objectivo: Avaliar a sustentabilidade sociocultural do uso de DIUs não hormonais entre mulheres que utilizam métodos contraceptivos em Pekanbaru.
Metodologia: Um estudo transversal quantitativo com uma abordagem analítica exploratória foi conduzido em 2025, incluindo 99 mulheres. Os dados foram recolhidos através de questionários estruturados e analisados com o Escalonamento Multidimensional (MDS) para estimar um índice de sustentabilidade. A sensibilidade dos atributos foi examinada através da análise da Raiz Quadrada Média (RMS), e a estabilidade do modelo foi avaliada com simulação de Monte Carlo.
Resultados: O índice de sustentabilidade sociocultural foi de 58,1, indicando uma condição moderadamente sustentável. Os atributos relativos às normas religiosas e ao conhecimento apresentaram a maior sensibilidade, enquanto os restantes atributos apresentaram uma sensibilidade moderada. O modelo apresentou uma boa estabilidade (stress = 0,14; R² = 0,95).
Conclusão: A sustentabilidade do uso do DIU não hormonal em Pekanbaru depende da interação de múltiplos atributos socioculturais. O reforço da comunicação culturalmente sensível e o acesso a informação fidedigna pode promover práticas de planeamento familiar mais sustentáveis.
