Determinantes do compromisso com o ócio digital nos e-sports entre a Geração Z na Indonésia

Introdução: Este estudo analisa os fatores determinantes da participação em atividades ocio-digitais relacionadas com os desportos eletrónicos entre a Geração Z da Indonésia. Dado o rápido crescimento dos desportos eletrónicos como a forma popular de entretenimento digital, é cada vez mais importante compreender os fatores psicológicos e sociais que influenciam a sua participação.
Objectivo: Este estúdio analisa o papel que desempeña a motivação pelos desportos electrónicos, a influência social, a percepção do prazer e a satisfação com o ócio na hora de determinar a participação em actividades de ócio digital.
Metodologia: Foi utilizado um projeto de investigação quantitativa baseado num método de investigação. Os dados de 376 consultas da Geração Z em Java (Indonésia) foram recolhidos através de um questionário estruturado com uma escala Likert de 5 pontos. Os dados são analisados através de PLS-SEM com SmartPLS.
Discussão: Os resultados permitem aliviar a importância dos fatores motivacionais, experienciais e sociais na hora de determinar a participação nos desportos eletrónicos entre a Geração Z. O prazer e a influência dos companheiros desempenham um papel fundamental na hora de aumentar o comprometimento e a satisfação nas atividades de ocio digital.
Conclusões: Este estudo contribuiu para a bibliografia sobre o ócio digital e os desportos eletrónicos para demonstrar como os fatores psicológicos e sociais influenciam o comportamento de participação. Os resultados também oferecem ideias práticas para que os criadores de desportos eletrónicos e de plataformas digitais melhorem a participação e a satisfação dos utilizadores.
