Testes de campo específicos versus velocidade do limiar de lactato: aplicação prática para avaliação aeróbia em atletas de badminton

Resumo

Objectivo: Este estudo teve como objectivo examinar a relação e a correlação entre a aptidão aeróbia, avaliada através de testes de campo específicos, e a velocidade do limiar de lactato (vLT) em jogadores de badminton do sexo masculino. Um objetivo secundário foi comparar variáveis ​​fisiológicas e psicofisiológicas entre os testes de campo específicos e a vLT.

Metodologia: Dezasseis jogadores de badminton do sexo masculino, de nível nacional, realizaram um teste incremental em passadeira rolante para determinar a vLT, seguido de três testes de campo específicos (Teste de Recuperação Intermitente de Badminton de Abian – AIR-BT; Teste Incremental Específico de Badminton – BST; e o Teste de Recuperação Intermitente Yo-Yo Nível 1 – Yo-Yo IR1) por ordem aleatória. A concentração de lactato sanguíneo foi medida para obter o pico de lactato (Lapico), a frequência cardíaca (FC) foi monitorizada continuamente para determinar a FC média e máxima (FCmédia e FCmáx), e a escala de perceção subjetiva do esforço (PSE) foi registada para determinar o valor máximo (PSEmáx).

Resultados: As respostas fisiológicas e psicofisiológicas diferiram entre os protocolos, tendo sido observados valores mais baixos de FCmáx, FCmédia, LApico e PSEmáx no teste BST. O teste AIR-BT apresentou uma correlação muito elevada com o vLT (r = 0,79), enquanto os testes BST e Yo-Yo IR1 apresentaram uma correlação moderada com o vLT (r = 0,49 e 0,42, respetivamente). Os testes AIR-BT, BST e Yo-Yo IR1 apresentaram enviesamentos médios de -0,001, -0,03 e -0,04 km·h⁻¹, respetivamente, com limites de concordância que variaram de -0,91 a 0,90, de 0,003 a 1,168 e de -1,345 a 1,354 km·h⁻¹, respetivamente.

Conclusões: O teste AIR-BT apresenta a maior correlação e concordância com o vLT em comparação com outros testes de campo, realçando a importância deste teste específico para avaliar a aptidão aeróbia no badminton.
