Perda de desempenho em sprints resistidos associada à maturidade em jovens jogadores de futebol

Resumo

O objetivo foi determinar a influência do estado maturacional na perda do desempenho do sprint e do sprint resistido em jovens jogadores de futebol. A maturidade biológica foi avaliada em 56 participantes e eles foram agrupados de acordo com os anos previstos a partir do pico de velocidade de crescimento (PVC) (pré, médio e pós-PVC). As diferenças entre os grupos foram determinadas através da análise de covariância. O tempo de sprint de 30 m foi medido usando o aplicativo MySprint. No sprint de 5 m, foi observada maior perda de desempenho entre o meio e o pré-PHV do que entre o pós e o meio do PHV (ES = -0,90 a -0,57 vs -0,52 a -0,34). Aos 30 m, foi demonstrada uma perda maior entre o pós e o meio do PHV do que entre o meio e o pré-PHV (ES = -1,04 a -0,69 vs -0,81 a -0,56). É importante considerar a lacuna maturacional na otimização a longo prazo do sprint em jovens atletas.
