Efeito recuperador da combinação de curcuma (curcuma longa l.) e pimenta preta (piper nigrum) em jogadores de futsal

Introdução: Existe um grande interesse em compreender as exigências físicas dos jogadores de futsal para atingir o desempenho ideal.
Objectivo: Este estudo teve como objectivo investigar os efeitos da suplementação com curcumina e piperina no desempenho de jogadores de futsal após dois jogos consecutivos de alta intensidade.
Metodologia: Foi utilizado um desenho randomizado, duplo-cego e controlado por placebo. Participaram 16 jogadores amadores de futsal, distribuídos aleatoriamente por dois grupos iguais. O grupo experimental recebeu 100 mg de curcumina + 5 mg de piper-ina, enquanto o grupo placebo recebeu 105 mg de celulose microcristalina. Foram realizadas duas partidas em dias consecutivos com um intervalo de 24 horas (2 × 20 minutos). O VO2máx foi avaliado sete dias antes da primeira partida, enquanto a frequência cardíaca de carga interna foi registada durante ambas as partidas. Para avaliar a recuperação dos jogadores, o desempenho do CMJ e do sprint foi medido no início do estudo, 24 horas após o primeiro jogo e 24, 48 e 72 horas após o segundo jogo.
Resultados: Não foram encontradas diferenças significativas no VO2máx ou na frequência cardíaca entre os grupos, indicando níveis semelhantes de aptidão física e carga interna. Foram observadas diferenças significativas no desempenho do CMJ (p<0,05) e nos tempos de sprint (p<0,05) entre o grupo experimental e o grupo placebo às 24, 48 e 72 horas após o segundo jogo.
Discussão: Os resultados sugerem que a suplementação com curcumina e piperina melhora eficazmente a recuperação, reduzindo a fadiga muscular e preservando o desempenho neuromuscular após as partidas.
Conclusões: A combinação de curcumina e piperina promove a recuperação e ajuda a manter o desempenho em jogadores de futsal que seguem calendários competitivos exigentes.
