Estilos de vida em estudantes da Universidade Popular de Cesar: uma abordagem diferenciada por faculdades

Resumo

Introdução. O estilo de vida (EV) compreende um conjunto de hábitos e condutas que distinguem as pessoas. No contexto universitário, vemos a necessidade de os abordar de forma desagregada, tendo em conta as faculdades, entendendo que estes constituem microcontextos do âmbito universitário.

Objetivo. O presente estudo pretende analisar o EV dos estudantes para compreender a influência de fatores relacionados com as exigências académicas e com os aspetos socioculturais na condução do autocuidado.

Métodos. Se utilizou uma abordagem quantitativa, com alcance descritivo-comparativo transversal, foi aplicado o questionário FANTASTIC para medir EV, numa mostra de 1428 estudantes da Universidade Popular de Cesar.

Resultados. Os resultados evidenciaram pontuações promedio de 69,74 ± 9,77 para a Facultad de Salud até 76,30 ± 10,88 para Ingenierías y Tecnológicas. Foi aplicado o teste estatístico Kruskal-Wallis (H (6) =41,804; p <0,001) e a análise post hoc de Dunn-Bonferroni para medir as diferenças entre faculdades, revelando que a faculdade de Engenharia teve a sua melhor qualificação face às Ciências da Saúde (p = 0,003), Ciências Básicas (p = 0,001) e Educação (p = 0,001); enquanto Direito e Ciências Políticas se ubicó na faixa intermédia. No que respeita à idade, não se verificam diferenças significativas (X2(2) =2,917; p = 0,233), embora o coeficiente de variação tenha sido superior nos adultos, sugerindo maior heterogeneidade interna.

Conclusões. Os hallazgos destacam a variação dos estilos de vida segundo as unidades académicas, questionando o pressuposto da homogeneidade estudantil e sinalizando a necessidade de intervenções de saúde desagregadas às particularidades de cada faculdade.
