Explorando as qualidades dos ambientes de desenvolvimento de talentos no contexto do futebol jordano

Introdução: Órgãos dirigentes, clubes e academias responsáveis pelo desenvolvimento de jovens poderiam ser mais eficazes e responsáveis nas suas tarefas se compreendessem os processos de identificação e desenvolvimento de talentos (IDT). Este estudo examinou a validação da versão árabe do Talent Development Environment Questionnaire (QADE), a avaliação da qualidade do IDT (abordagem de desenvolvimento individualizada a longo prazo, definição de objetivos e apoio consistente, e preparação holística da qualidade).
Método: O Talent Development Environment Questionnaire (QADE-5), traduzido para árabe, foi utilizado para recolher dados de 564 jovens jogadores de futebol (319 homens e 245 mulheres) com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 18 anos, de clubes e academias da Jordânia. A análise fatorial exploratória revelou uma solução de três fatores com 26 itens válidos e fiáveis (QADE-3 em árabe).
Resultados: Os resultados mostraram que o Foco Individualizado no Desenvolvimento a Longo Prazo, o Estabelecimento de Objetivos e o Apoio Consistente foram os fatores com maior pontuação nos Ambientes de Desenvolvimento de Talentos (ADTs) do futebol jordano, enquanto a Preparação Abrangente de Qualidade foi o fator com menor pontuação. Em todos os três fatores, os jogadores do sexo masculino experienciaram ambientes de maior qualidade do que as jogadoras do sexo feminino. Os treinadores devem melhorar o desenvolvimento dos atributos psicológicos, o planeamento e a clareza em relação aos requisitos de progressão, bem como a comunicação com outros treinadores.
Conclusões: Este estudo pode servir de ponto de partida para investigadores e profissionais dos países árabes nas suas pesquisas e avaliações de Ambientes de Desenvolvimento de Talentos (ADTs). Trabalhos futuros devem considerar as nuances culturais ao adaptar o Talent Development Environment Questionnaire (QADET) para árabe.
Recomendação: A Federação de Futebol da Jordânia poderia considerar alargar o apoio oferecido às equipas femininas em diferentes faixas etárias. Melhorar as capacidades dos treinadores na comunicação com as jogadoras e na abordagem das suas áreas de fragilidade pode ter um impacto positivo no desenvolvimento dos seus talentos.
