O turismo ativo e as atividades físicas no meio natural como recurso didático para a promoção da saúde e da qualidade de vida

Introdução: o sedentarismo e a desminuição da atividade física são identificados como problemas que afetam a saúde e a qualidade de vida, o que motivou o interesse pelo turismo e pelas atividades físicas no meio natural como alternativas com potencial educativo.
Objectivo: analisar a relação entre a participação em actividades de turismo activo e actividades físicas no meio natural e a percepção da saúde e da qualidade de vida numa população adulta, numa perspectiva didáctica.
Metodologia: foi desenvolvida uma investigação quantitativa, não experimental, de desenho transversal e de alcance descritivo-correlacional. A mostra foi conformada por 180 participantes selecionados mediante exibição intencional. foi aplicado um questionário estruturado e os dados foram analisados através de estatística descritiva e inferencial.
Resultados: foi evidenciada uma participação regular em atividades de turismo ativo, principalmente senderismo e caminhadas ecológicas. os participantes reportam elevados níveis de benefícios físicos, psicológicos e sociais, bem como relações positivas e significativas entre a frequência de participação e a perceção de saúde e qualidade de vida.
Discussão: os hallazgoson resultam coerentes com estudos anteriores que destacam o impacto positivo da atividade física em ambientes naturais no bem-estar integral.
Conclusões: o turismo ativo e as atividades físicas no meio natural consolidam-se como um recurso didático eficaz para a promoção da saúde e da qualidade de vida.
