Retos was founded in 2002. Since then, its mission has been to publish original, rigorously researched scientific works that contribute to progress in the fields of physical activity, sport, rehabilitation, nutrition, and health, as well as related professional areas. Manuscripts of a scientific nature are preferred (basic and/or applied research; articles with multivariate analyses are given preference). Articles of popular science and/or empirical teaching experiences (exchange of proposals and developed and researched experiences) and articles of quantitative systematic theoretical reviews and/or meta-analyses are also published.

Retos deeply appreciates adherence to ethical and professional standards and recommends that authors wishing to submit manuscripts carefully review Retos' publication guidelines.
